Cookie and tracking notice
This notice describes cookies and similar storage on nimva.app as published by Devxnext Canada Inc. It is given so you can see what the site stores in your browser and what it does not. It does not authorize a use that privacy law requires us to disclose and obtain consent for before that use begins. Commercial electronic messages are governed by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation as described in the Privacy Policy (CASL section), not by this cookie inventory alone. This draft is prepared for review by Canadian counsel; publication does not mean counsel has signed off. It is not a substitute for advice from your own lawyer. Personal information collected through the site is also described in the Privacy Policy.
1. Who this notice is from
Devxnext Canada Inc., 7030 Woodbine Avenue, Suite 500, Markham, Ontario L3R 6G2, Canada, operates nimva.app. Questions about this notice may be sent to hello@nimva.app.
The Nimva Mac application does not use browser cookies. Account tokens in the application are stored in the macOS Keychain, as described in the Privacy Policy. This notice concerns the website only.
2. Storage we use today
As of the effective date, nimva.app does not set an HTTP cookie from our own server for analytics. The inventory below is what the site may store in your browser. None of it is sold. Meta Pixel loads only after you Accept analytics, and only to measure our own Facebook/Instagram ad and site performance—not to sell your browsing data.
| Name | Where it lives | Purpose | How long | Leaves the browser |
|---|---|---|---|---|
nimva-theme |
This browser’s local storage | Functional. Remembers light or dark appearance after you click that control. It is not written on first visit. | Until you change the choice, or clear site data for nimva.app | No. It stays on this browser. |
| Supabase sign-in session | This browser’s local storage, on the sign-in page only | Strictly necessary to finish the login you started and return to the Mac application. Not used for advertising or analytics. | Until sign-in completes, you sign out, or you clear site data | The stored value stays in this browser. The sign-in request is sent to Supabase to complete authentication. Supabase is the account processor named in the Privacy Policy. |
nimva-analytics-consent |
This browser’s local storage | Records whether you Accepted or Rejected optional website analytics (Google Analytics, PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, and Meta Pixel). Written only after you choose. | Until you change the choice, or clear site data for nimva.app | No. It stays on this browser. |
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, and related) |
HTTP cookies set by Google on this site, only after you Accept analytics | Optional analytics. Measures visits, pages viewed, approximate location derived by Google, device/browser type, and selected on-site events such as download clicks, so we can improve nimva.app. Not used by Nimva for advertising retargeting. | Typically up to about two years, subject to Google’s cookie lifetimes and your browser settings | Yes. Event data is sent to Google LLC (Google Analytics) for processing on our behalf. Processing may occur outside Canada, typically in the United States. |
PostHog (ph_* cookies and related local storage) |
HTTP cookies and local storage set by PostHog on this site, only after you Accept analytics | Optional product analytics. Measures page views, clicks, funnels, and—except on sign-in / auth pages—masked session replays so we can see where the website is confusing. Inputs are masked. Not used by Nimva for advertising retargeting. | Typically up to about one year, subject to PostHog’s product settings and your browser settings | Yes. Event and replay data is sent to PostHog Inc. for processing on our behalf. Processing may occur outside Canada, typically in the United States (or the PostHog region we select). |
Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk, and related) |
HTTP cookies set by Microsoft Clarity on this site, only after you Accept analytics (not on sign-in / auth pages) | Optional analytics. Measures page views, clicks, scroll heatmaps, and session recordings so we can see where the website is confusing. Not used by Nimva for advertising retargeting. | Typically up to about one year, subject to Microsoft Clarity’s cookie lifetimes and your browser settings | Yes. Event and recording data is sent to Microsoft for processing on our behalf. Processing may occur outside Canada, typically in the United States. |
Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc, and related) |
HTTP cookies set by Meta on this site, only after you Accept analytics (not on sign-in / auth pages) | Optional ad measurement. Measures page views and selected on-site actions (for example download or Founder Pass interest) so we can see how Facebook and Instagram campaigns perform. Meta may use these events for ad delivery and measurement under Meta’s terms. We do not sell this data. | Typically up to about three months for _fbp, subject to Meta’s cookie lifetimes and your browser settings |
Yes. Event data is sent to Meta Platforms, Inc. Processing may occur outside Canada, typically in the United States. |
3. Optional analytics choice
Google Analytics, PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, and Meta Pixel load on nimva.app only after you click Accept on the site banner. Decline is shown with equal prominence. If you Decline, we do not load those tags and we do not set their analytics or measurement cookies for that choice. Session replay (PostHog and Clarity) and Meta Pixel are off on sign-in and auth-callback pages even when analytics is accepted. You may change your mind later by clearing site data for nimva.app and visiting again, or by writing to hello@nimva.app.
We do not sell browsing data. Meta Pixel is used only for measuring our own paid social campaigns and site actions after you Accept.
4. Your choices
Cookie settings for this site are this page and the Accept / Decline banner. You may also block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Clearing site data removes the theme preference, any sign-in session stored here, your analytics choice, and Google Analytics / PostHog / Clarity / Meta cookies if present. Blocking storage required for sign-in may prevent account login in the browser. Dictation in the Mac application does not depend on website cookies. You may also write to hello@nimva.app about information associated with your account, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
5. Changes
We may update this notice. We will change the effective date above. A material change to what we store will be reflected here before that new storage is used in production in the manner this notice describes.
